So your playing the NES Castlevania games and we all know those games are nail tough hard. But can you imagine how much easier the game would be without what I like the call the "hit and fall" For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, here's what it looks like.
Yeah, it's that moment when you get hit by something and you somersault yourself into a pit and die. This tactic cranked this treacherous game to 11. My strategy is to simply kill all the enemies before the hit you. I think it would be interesting to find any sort of info on this feature from the guys at Konami. Maybe this wasn't meant to be in the product. Or better yet, they knew about a key strategy in developing a successful game, and that is challenge. Back then, I'd say every game that came out was hard, but today you don't find many games that offer a great challenge. You're really just crusin' through the game. In honor of challenging games, I give a toast to the hit and fall.
