The Playstation 4 has just been recently announced by Sony. I must say I was not surprised by a new console, but I am surprised that Sony is continuing the Playstation family. Sony fans you better listen up because I will be giving my thoughts on the PS4. This will not be one of those "Oh the PS3 is terrible so the PS4 will be a dictionary definition of garbage!"
I've always been a fan of Sony in the gaming market. In fact preferred the original Playstation over the Nintendo 64 and the PS2 over the Xbox and Gamecube. And yes, the PS3 might be my favorite out of the Xbox 360 and Wii. Why did I prefer PS3 over 360? Because of the exclusive titles (Uncharted, Infamous, Little Big Planet, ect), the Playstation Network games, and PSN is free. Before I get off topic, the PS4 must have a better launch title lineup. A launch lineup shows off what a console is made of. And if you happened to choke and release a bunch bad games later who would at least have some consumers who bought your console. And the PS3 was getting made fun of constantly for it's poor library of games. However they got back up by releasing games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Sony seems to yet again take inspiration from Nintendo. This shows since the PS4 controller has a screen on it. This must be the new trend, like in 2006 when the motion gaming trend began. I guess I don't mind the controller screens. Overall, if I'm going to buy the PS4, I'll wait for the price to drop. Many good games should be gaurenteed. And I would sure like to see a new exclusive series. A new console gaming generation is on the rise, and it seems to be coming off with a bang.
