A popular way of ranking the best is through developing a "Mount Rushmore" or the 4 best and influential of the business. A Mount Rushmore of Rap is needed for me and this website. By clicking "read more", the best of the best will be unveiled.
In the NBA, there's a endless amount of great guards and forwards playing the game right now. Yet the big men that get the dirty work done seem to be extinct. Are there any legitimate elite centers in the NBA besides Dwight Howard? Not many others. To me centers always sort of defined the game of basketball. Tall and big slam-dunkers who could get down and dirty. These centers I'm about to list off are all high-profile ballers. Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Patrick Ewing, and Shaquille O'Neal. Everyone knows these guys. My only possible theory as to why centers are waning is because of injuries. The past couple years we've seen players like Yao Ming, Greg Oden, Andrew Bynum. and Jermaine O'Neal constantly staying off-court or just have been shut down because of this. Some viewers find centers boring and unappealing, but I get a pure kick out of them working their butt off.
A change in music style is always risky. For Outkast, the switch from mostly rap vocals to melodic ones was perfected so well. I bought the physical copy of Stankonia from Newbury Comics last night for $9.99. Totally worth it. Outkast style of music is what I believe the perfect style of hip hop. Sharp vocals that flow well, funky beats, variety, and strong subjects. And a major plus, my favorite song of all time is included on this album, which is Ms. Jackson. If you can't tell already, this album is quite amazing. I recommend this to any fan of old-school hip hop like me.
The Playstation 4 vs. the Xbox One. (throw in the Wii U if you feel to do so). Who's winning? What's going right? What can be improved? All answered in this blog.
My constant abandonment is really getting off the charts. But as of now, I HOPE to stay active on The Game Change. It's not even really that I've been busy. It's just more or less of me getting bored. Every winter I'm always turned off in the gaming mood. I guess you could say I was "hibernating." But once again, I'm adding a new feature. This time it's blogs and a gallery on sports cards collected. Card collecting? Yes. It may not fit, but I was looking forward to blog about it for a while. So I might as well take my chance with it. One last note. Make sure to follow me on Twitter @tbutt16. I'm ready to get rolling again.
Comix Zone is a beat em' up for the Sega Genesis that has a great style with some gameplay faults that are really unnecessary. Firstly, the graphics are easily some of the best on the Genesis. And the animation is flawless for Genesis standards. This game might be a beat em' up, but it doesn't play exactly like Double Dragon, Final Fight, or Streets of Rage. Instead you have to find enemies spots that are not in defense. You know what, I like it. It's a good turn of pace. There's even a good amount of variety in the game. Sounds like a great game right? Unfortunately, some stupid things plague Comix Zone. Some games are hard like Ninja Gaiden, the Mega Man series, and Contra. But when the player dies, it's their own fault. Comix Zone is unforgiving for all the wrong reasons. No 1Ups, 1 continue, good luck son! Get this. When you destroy objects, you actually lose health. And most times you no choice but to destroy them. Later in the game the combat will start to get tedious since enemies take many hits. Not to mention, there's only one enemy at a time. Overall, if you're a Genesis and beat em' up fan, you might as well check this out.
Sorry for the delay, and I have a blog that basically wraps up the 7th generation and give my opinions on how it went. Plus I will reveal my favorite games from this generation.
I don't have an actual Atari 2600 console in my possession. So my only route to playing 2600 games is the Atari Flashback 3. It's a good collection of games like Yar's Revenge, Basketball, Realsports Volleyball, Combat, and Dodge 'Em. As well as solid arcade ports like Centipede and Super Breakout. But one thing is really missing, and that would be the Activision games. Those are the best games on the console with classics like Kaboom, River Raid, and Pitfall. Now I'm calling out to Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Put these games and more on your stores. Make them real cheap and people will buy them, or well at least I will.
When I heard Whose Line is it Anyway was returning, I was psyched. I loved the original show because of the great cast and skit types. I was even more excited that the fact that it would be exactly like the original show. But then I remembered that there were two sort of spiritual successors to this show that didn't go that well. So then my expectations got lowered. But on Tuesday night when the two premiere episodes finished, I was very impressed! No joke, I was surprised how funny it was. A week later the next episode aired, and it wasn't as good as the last week's episode but still good. The next week? Same story. Now the show has been on for about a month now. And it's safe to say that this show is the equivalent to a avalanche. It's just going all downhill. And I think that the main problem is that nearly every episode the same skits\games are being performed. But there are bigger fishes to fry with this show; particularly with the person behind the desk.
